I am pretty dissapointed in the new title. With the new changes, soon having a rank 2 Glad title won't mean much >_>. This is like HA rank when IWAY came out. Soon people won't care, and another title that could be used to measure possible skill will be lost.
....If I get a title, I want it to mean something. Titles don't mean much when you can get them if you play badly.

Fierce glad has never meant anything.
most of the glad titles don't mean anything.
any of them.
hero does not mean anything.
hero without IWAY would not have any value either.
no title will ever have a true value, get over it.

The BAD thing is that you distroyed the old title.
Gladiator title will mean nothing now for professional pvpers. Also multiply of 6 is a joke.
Statisticly it is 32 times harder to win 10 times than to win 5 times. In addition taking into account the mumber of times those who won 10 won also 9, 8, 7 and 6 wins the multiply should be more than 50.
You made me very sad!

Professional players are an exception, very little people make money by playing GW

This is why anti leaving measures wont really work, 50% resign, should be enough to stop the game as well. Leaving is important when things become a major waste of time

Our freedom to leave RA should neither be revoked nor awarded punishment. It lowers interest in RA in general as it is a slap to the face of every 1337 player that plays PvP. PvP does not revolve around new players! Survival of the fittest!

I think that making the max Gladiator title 40,000 points was silly. Now if you play 7 days a week, and average 10 points a day. You can get your max title in oh say about 4,000 day or 11 years of solid play!!
Go Andrew Patrick and Ryan Scott, lets see you get yours by 2,018. Oh wait, what do you mean you would like to turn of the GW servers by then cause GW4 will be out!

Yeah, I was just trying to show how stoopid their higher title levels are. Like they were too high before the update! 5,000 might be a reasonable Max. That's 5 points a day for 1,000 days.

10 points a day isn't hard to accomplish in TA, in fact 10 is very easy. 10 points = 20 consec
Anybody that thinks 20 consec is difficult shouldn't be going for any top tier glad title anyways.
Though I agree the title range becomes stupidly spread out at the end, it's not meant to be easy to attain. Just like HA ranks.

I bet most top players don't average 20 consecutive wins per day. If there was a few that could, they would not play GW for 11 years to get a max title, they would have given up GW well before then and moved on to the next great thing.
So the Gladiator title is a joke, unlike the Saviour of the Kurzick/Luxon PvP max title which is hard but achievable in a reasonable time. Good one Anet, your consistency rocks!

They don't, they average 50+ wins a day. But even so, it's still pretty much impossible to max. The highest-ranked guy is only 1/3 of the way there, after a year or two of solid RA sync-whoring.

Pretty sure the people you refer to here are extremely scrub. RA syncing is no where near as fast as just being good at the game and winning in TA. Seriously, you roll most teams in ~1 minute in TA and don't have to worry about syncing. 50+ wins is pretty damn easy, I'm sure if anyone actually played TA for real they could pretty much go on for as long as they like.
I don't get what you scrubs are complaining about with this title, this rewards you for being good and getting 4 points every 5 wins and makes it harder for newbs trying to obtain the title through RA who only get 3 points on average per run.

he's referring to a certain korean ra farmer that synced whole 4 man teams with his guild on empty korean servers.
also some people spent endless hours in RA during dead hours in TA when it was impossible for them to find a team.

He could also be referring to J Z who I believe is r10 glad now. He synced a lot of RA, but the dude does massive amounts of TA as well.
Regardless, nobody will ever get to r12.
And I agree, glads come in a lot faster with this system than the old system.

I doubt that, they may peak at 50+ per day for a few days weeks even, but they will not keep it up for they years required.
Also TA is mind numbingly boring nowadays, spirit spammers and sins. They should make it so you can't have more than one spirit within Earshot of another.

he's r9.
drop by in TA here and there =P
And it really does matter a lot when one is playing...at peak times making 50 wins with sth even close to balanced isnt easy, if possible at all =o)
And no, EDA dervs with dual dazers or rit+monk way isnt balanced.

Actually a lot of decent players play TA. It really depends on who is playing at the moment. Getting 50+ is pretty hard to get sometimes. QQ, rawr, sad, vibe, FamE, RezQ are the ones I've seen in their recently in the past week.
